How can I earn money online through a legitimate business model? Any ideas / experiences?

I'm not trying to "Get Rich Quick", in schemes dealing in any way, please refrain from responding. I am looking for legitimate ways to invest a sum of money and honest work to make $ 2000-3000 per month within 6-12 months (if possible). I am interested in hearing from people with models of successful legitimate online business and ideas. Once again: NO GET RICH QUICK schemers! Thank You!
